The Umbrella is a quiet exploration of grief, memory, and the enduring power of love. Inspired by my own reflections on loss, I chose to tell this story from a child’s point of view—where death is not an ending, but a dreamlike passage. The umbrella, a simple household object, becomes a gentle bridge between worlds, between generations. Visually, the film contrasts light and shadow, rain and warmth, reality and memory—mirroring the emotional journey of loss and acceptance. This work is not about dramatic tragedy, but about a small, tender moment that changes how we carry those we’ve lost. I hope it invites viewers to reflect, to feel, and to heal.
