# Project Description "Have One" ZiXin Zhou Summary Final work I’m ZiXin ，a textile designer graduate from CSM textile design. M y practice is deeply rooted in personal observation and emotional expression. Drawing inspiration from daily life and subtle interpersonal moments, I often explore themes of pressure, comfort, and release.I value a balance between conceptual depth and tactile experience, and I hope to create pieces that quietly speak to the viewer’s own emotional landscapes. College Central Saint Martins Course BA (Hons) Textile Design Graduation year 2025 This project was inspired by everyday life and the growing number of people who smoke as a way to cope with stress. Through observing the behavior of people around me, I realized that smoking often becomes a quiet ritual of emotional release. Rather than focusing on smoking culture itself, I explore the feelings behind it — pressure, relief, and personal space. Using elements like smoke, ash, and burn, I translate these emotions into tactile textile expressions, aiming to create an atmosphere that feels soft, intimate, and subtly interactive. Final work Have one A small textile piece with a textured surface inspired by cigarette ash, designed as a coaster or decorative home object. It reflects the theme of emotional residue and quiet release.
