Graduation year 2025

This project takes inspiration from childhood memories and vintage toys like Polly Pocket, using a childlike lens to reinterpret the surrounding world. It focuses on graphic flowers, playful doodles, and check patterns often found in doll clothing. Influenced by Pop Art artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Robert Rauschenberg, the collection incorporates collage techniques, screen printing, and bold visual layering. Organic motifs like orchids are redrawn in simplified, toy-like styles and paired with patchworks and child-drawn elements like stars, sea creatures, and butterflies. A pastel-led colour palette is contrasted with deeper “dirty” tones—olive green, burnt orange, deep blue—to balance youthful playfulness with a more grounded, adult sensibility. The result is a mid-range womenswear textile collection that blends nostalgia, vivid colour, and whimsical storytelling.
