# Project Description Alter//Exist Ziwei Zhou Summary Final work A jewellery designer specialising in the resonance between objects and the body, exploring themes of identity and bodily autonomy through design. My practice is grounded in the use of metal and leather, combining traditional craftsmanship with advanced modelling techniques to create pieces that challenge and celebrate the body’s expressive potential. College London College of Fashion Course BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery Graduation year 2025 This jewellery collection explores identity liberation through the structural reconstruction of the body. It begins with a question: How can we perceive “EXISTENCE” through jewellery? Not through ornament, but through transformation. Each piece invites the wearer to alter, dismantle, and rebuild— becoming a co-creator in the process of self-definition. Inspired by modular toy and body modification, the designs fuse skeleton, screw, and modular forms. When jewellery intervenes, the body becomes open and remouldable—a site of sovereignty. Change becomes a declaration: WE EXIST.
