This project employs an allegorical fashion narrative to explore the boundary dilemmas faced by the “post-human body” during its fusion with artificial intelligence: whilst humans achieve self-enhancement through technology, they remain confined within the framework of algorithms and systems. The relationship between humans and AI is not one of absolute freedom, but rather a predicament where dependence and constraint coexist. The relationship between humans and AI constitutes a state of ‘augmented constraint’. While AI enables humanity to transcend physical and creative boundaries, such breakthroughs remain contingent upon algorithms, data, and platforms. Humans gain freedom through AI, only to find themselves confined within its very boundaries.

AI Substance
This video employs an allegorical narrative to explore the boundary dilemmas arising from the fusion of the “post-human body” with artificial intelligence, illustrating AI's disciplining of humanity and mankind's growing dependence upon it. The increasingly potent AI resembles the sun worshipped in ancient times, akin to a deity, even regarded by scholar John C. Lennox as “an attempt by humanity to create a god”. Drawing parallels with the myth of Icarus's failed flight towards the sun and scenes from The Creation of Adam, the narrative reveals AI's pseudo-empowerment of humanity. The octopus, regarded as one of Earth's most intelligent creatures, possesses nine brains and a formidable nervous system—much like our rapidly advancing neural networks. Yet can AI truly grant ordinary individuals seemingly greater agency while enabling boundless expansion of human capabilities? This demands profound reflection.
