It’s an extension of confusion. It’s a way towards answers. Even may never reach, it’s one step closer and one more step. Even it’s not the answer.

This project is an extension of my dissociation experiences. I create an image of a windy London autumn. Mind is out of body and I feel lost. Instinct drives me to pull my coat tighter and bury my face into the collar.

I refer this situation as HARPY, a creature in Greek mythology. The spirit grows out wings and flies away, you are no longer yourself, you are a free mind finding a way out.

The imagine of HARPY still exists, but with a brighter and firmer vision. The colour palette expands from just warm tone to cold tone. Replacing rusting dying, I choose natural plants dying that provide various and vivid colours. All fabrics are naturally friendly, with wool, silk, cupro, acetate and faux fur, I wish to provide a luxury and comforting vibe.

I want to create the feeling of self-hugging and self-healing came from the confused mind.

Final work

Two women are posed on a bed with a crisp white duvet and a bright orange pillow. Their expressions are serious.
