With strong technical skills in draping and handcrafting, I channel my creativity into designs that explore pressing social issues—particularly feminism—to give visibility to overlooked narratives. My work aims to provoke thought and spark dialogue about‘invisible’ challenges faced by women today. Sustainability is another cornerstone of my practice. Throughout innovation design and upcycling, I transform secondhand clothing into renewable, meaningful pieces.

My project ‘The Unconditioned?’ navigates the dynamics of mother-daughter relationships within East Asian families. I see the love between mother and daughter as an ‘unconditioned’ response, instinctive, enduring, and always present despite being later shaped by cultural expectations, generational gaps, and personal experiences. These relationships are strained by the need to balance traditional values and contemporary ideologies, but it is never taught. In my artistic practice, I am guided by core values of sustainability, freedom, and creativity. I emphasize the importance of handcrafting, as it connects me to a lineage of maternal care—my grandmother and mother often expressed their love through knitting. This craftsmanship allows me to engage with materials and processes in a deeply personal and intentional way. This also resonates with my target audience: new generation of women redefining identity, likely between the age of 20 and 40, who share similar cultural backgrounds. These women are likely to connect with the themes of my work, as they navigate their own family dynamics while striving for authenticity and self-expression. My work speaks to them through both cultural relevance and personal resonance, creating a meaningful connection.
