This project explores the hidden violence embedded within systems of control and power in capitalist society. In contemporary culture, devotion often shifts from spirituality to capitalism, productivity, and discipline — functioning in a way similar to religious commitment. Drawing inspiration from modern work culture and its uniforms, the suit, white shirt, and office trousers are examined as symbols of obedience and control. These garments are merged and deconstructed with elements of a nun’s habit, connecting two systems of dress rooted in dedication and submission. By combining these forms, the collection reflects how work culture increasingly replaces religion as a modern system of belief, shaping behaviour, identity, and devotion.
