SnapThreads are a set of 2 products consisting a networked camera and printer device. Designed for couples to foster sincerity in long-distance relationships through a unique daily ritual. The product family reimagines sending and receiving printed photographs as an experience resembling the act of letter-writing. The photograph created are aimed to represent a documentation of life in a space across 5 days in the form of a multi exposure photograph. The camera’s design emphasises intentional, momentary interaction over passive, continuous documentation. The project aims to introduce a novel user interaction experience that connects the user to both the object and, by extension, their partner.
