Inspired by the documentary The Witness—which delves into the "bystander effect" and the phenomenon of human indifference in society—this project unfolds against a dystopian future. In this world, humanity has grown increasingly indifferent, no longer engaging in emotional communication or sharing. Against such a gloomy backdrop, plants have quietly mutated: they have evolved the ability to communicate emotions secretly without words and formed a symbiotic relationship with humans.

This project takes knitting techniques as its core form of expression. It will conduct in-depth research on the structural textures of plants and integrate them with the delicate textures of human skin to create innovative knitted fabrics. These fabrics materially embody the concept of "human-plant integration" both visually and tactilely. These future plants serve as bridges, helping people reestablish emotional connections.
