I’m a German student soon studying Fashion Design: Print. I enjoy exploring diverse processes to create textiles and prints. Hands-on making is essential to me. Emotion drives my work, which I translate through expressive shapes and colours that convey feeling and movement on the body.

This project is called "In the Arms of Nature" and is dedicated to my upbringing in a town located to forests and fields. Growing up in such a nature-based environment gave me a sense of calm and comfort, especially in times I needed emotional reassurance. I connected this sense of peace and familiarity to the relationship I share with my mother, who has always been a grounding and protective presence in my life. Both nature and my mother became central influences in this work, symbols of safety, strength, and emotional intimacy.

I took inspiration from philosophical elements like taoism and rituals like tree hugging to understand the relationship between nature und human in a clearer way. Throughout this project I have explored ways to create prints that translate my emotions and worked with dying techniques that mimic organic textures of tree bark and wood. Processes like screen-printing and relief printing were key in translating my collages and mark-makings into surface designs. Lastly, I delved deeper into the protective and close aspect of a daughter and mother relationship. Creating a silhouette that hugs the body and head, conveying this sense of safety ad comfort.
