Scobira is an experimental project combining bio-interaction with wearable design, using SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast) as its core material. It forms a companionable, modular wearable system that is growable, replaceable, archivable, biodegradable, and community-driven. The modular nurturing and wearing structures offer users creative freedom and emotional engagement. In this system, the user is both the wearer and the caregiver, forming emotional bonds through care, interaction, and companionship.

Scobira introduces a new system language that merges wearables, pet-like relationships, modularity, and sustainability. It is no longer a static accessory, but a living, evolving companion. At the same time, it is a space for imagination, a fashion object, and a social connector—provoking reflection on sustainable fashion, the temporality of materials, and the emotional dynamics between human and non-human life.
