YIJIE WANG

This project is a journey into my heritage and a reconnection with my cultural roots . Though my ancestral hometown is Fujian, I grew up in Shanghai and only returned during Chinese New Year holidays. Over time, especially after my grandmother passed away and I moved abroad for my studies, my connection to my hometown has gradually faded. To rebuild that bond, I embarked on a two-week journey to Fujian, capturing its local culture and unique charm through the lens of fashion. Along this journey through memory and reality, tradition and modernity, family and self intertwine—shaping a renewed understanding of what "home" means to me.
