Yifang Wei

The inspiration for my collection ‘The Grow’ came from memories of my grandmother and mother building and growing their gardens. These memories sparked my deep interest in nurturing plants, meanwhile, sharing gardening experiences has become a way for three generations in my family to connect. Through conversations with them, I discovered that each person has different connections to their gardens. By visiting community gardens, I further discovered that humans create their gardens in unique ways, interact with them, and gain personal fulfilment from the experience. I want to use my designs to capture the memories, connections, and emotional investments that people have with their gardens.

My target market focus on soft furnishings—specifically upholstery for chair pads, table mats and coasters for dining tables and side tables. My customers are those who appreciate aesthetics in interior décor, love nature and seek to bring the elements indoors to enhance their sense of well-being.
