This work seeks to construct a fluid, intentional space through the reconfiguration of kitchen components, marks of use, and projected fragments and sounds of kitchen memories from different places. In this space, the connections between people, space, and objects are always shifting—sometimes free, sometimes uncertain and uncomfortable. We may resist or accept, be shaped or interrupted by our surroundings, or simply stay still, stubborn, even in pain.

The kitchen holds memories of cooking with different people in different places. The portable tools I carry and the habits I’ve developed show how I adapt to new spaces. The unstable structure changes the way the projection appears—sometimes clear, sometimes blurry, or limited. This reflects the uncertainty I feel inside, and how much the environment can affect how we see ourselves.

Living in a temporary and changing state made me realize that when “uncertainty” and “change” become normal, it’s easy to lose a sense of stability or belonging. A flexible space gives freedom, but it can also make it harder to understand, place, or trust ourselves. I believe that only by finding a status between movement and stability can make us continue to rebuild and understand who we are.
