The project is about considering how upcycled polyester can be part of football fan community-based textile design practices to discover, utilize, and contemplate the rebirth of football merchandise materials that carry the fans' grand passion.
I got inspired by the football rivalry and the local chants and visuals during Derby Day to recreate sensational print and embroideries that can bring up the emotion.
It took months to develop and program embroidery files on prints to create the sensational images with precise looks. The project's outcome is about football rivalry culture print, embroidery, and weaving based on the fans’ identity. Whenever the fans receive or purchase the product, they will be acknowledged that the textile itself is made from their favorite club’s crucial symbols, which carries memories, and the stitched embroidery on top contains the passionate emotions that fans have had for decades.
