“SAVITAR” is a virtual reality first-person exploration and puzzle game. The core concept of the game is to control time in VR, discovering clues through different means at different times, unlocking more clues and finally solving the murder case.

In this game, the player, the experiencer, is given the opportunity to feel as if they are in the moment when the crime occurs, unlocking clues and discovering the complete process of the crime, from examining the victim, scanning the surroundings, attempting to discover the modus operandi and cause of the crime, and finally, the process of identifying the perpetrator. As the game involves violent scenes, it is not recommended for minors and those sensitive to the subject matter.

Showcase

The core mechanic of the game is to control the animations in the game through controllers to move forward and backward, so as to achieve a similar effect of controlling the time, and the player can discover more objects to unlock more animations that can be controlled, and at the end of the game by unlocking all of the animations to understand the process and the truth of the case. The purpose of this mechanic is to give the player more freedom to control the progress of the animations, which can further enhance the immersive environment of VR. Allowing the player to repeatedly explore a scene from different perspectives allows the designers to set up multiple events occurring simultaneously within a scene. The original idea for the game was largely inspired by the computer games Shadows of Doubt and Cyberpunk 2077.
