This project critically examines the impact of ChatGPT on designers’ creative autonomy. Drawing visual inspiration from the Book of Kells, the narrative unfolds in a symbolic ‘Digital Dark Age.’ It follows a designer who, in pursuit of public approval, gradually alters their work under the influence of an AI-like authoritative figure. Through rich visual metaphors, the project reveals how reliance on AI can undermine originality, creativity, and personal expression in artistic practice.
