LogIn-CheckOut consists of a digital visitor logbook with its live-updating price tag.

The project aims to recreate and reveal the hidden data collection systems in familiar digital platforms, hoping that through interaction with a simple computational system, will bring awareness to the hidden values of our digital footprint, and lead participants to be more mindful when logging personal data online.

Besides the visitor’s name and visitation rating, there are a few optional personal information questions like gender and ethnicity. Each answer has a value assigned to it based on the real price data distribution companies are selling our data. The total value of each entry will be calculated and then added to the overall worth of the logbook.
