“The Contradiction of Change”.

This project explores how we react to change in our lives and how our opinions towards change evolve throughout growing up. I pulled from my personal experience, addressing how I used to be flooded with anxiety when anything new occurred, to then entering my teens and craving change - having a positive outlook towards it. I researched phycologists who found that we process change in our sleep and dreams. This led me to create a body piece that mimicked bedding, having researched into materials it was important to me to use silk which has comforting qualities. Alongside this I made a colourful wire headdress made to portray the process of how we process our thoughts to allow us to be excited and have a positive perspective. Having done primary research into holding onto our childhood teddies I included these in some of my final photoshoot pictures, to communicate how we hold onto objects from our childhood that provide comfort“ The Contradiction of Change”.
