# Project Description A Hard Day's Work Victoria Dobbs Summary Final work I'm a textile designer drawn to material experimentation and sculptural form. My work explores texture, transformation, and process, often drawing inspiration from the realities of rural life on a working farm. My work explores te... College Central Saint Martins Course BA (Hons) Textile Design Graduation year 2025 “A Hard Day’s Work” is a collection inspired by my upbringing on a working farm. Through this project, I explore the reality of hard labour—long days, worn tools, daily uniforms, and outdoor living. My vessels are designed to reflect this way of life, inspired by traditional craft methods and merging on-loom and off-loom techniques, such as basketry and coiling. I aimed to reimagine them in contemporary woven forms for high-end interior spaces. Each piece tells a story of endurance, repetition, and care—qualities that echo the rigour and rhythm of farm life. It is a collection that brings the honesty of rural work into the world of considered, contemporary craft.
