This project explores the integration of Ayurvedic principles with sustainable textile design, focusing on the creation of Ayurvastra—healing fabrics dyed with herbal ingredients. Using Eri silk, Kala cotton, and linen, I developed fabrics that embody circular design and promote wellness through their natural and medicinal properties. The project emphasizes innovation in dyeing techniques, material lifecycle awareness, and a commitment to sustainable practices that merge tradition with modern design thinking.
Final work

The piece highlights the use of herbal dyes and natural binders, showcasing a sustainable and artisanal approach to textile design.

This piece exemplifies a harmonious blend of precise brush techniques.

The surface is adorned with expressive hand-painted brushstrokes, each carrying natural imperfections that add character to the design. The textile reflects a combination of eco-conscious dyeing methods and traditional craftsmanship.
