College School of Pre-Degree Studies Course UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Graduation year 2025 The themes of my work consistently focus on emotion and human interaction. For my final major project, I began exploring themes of hypocrisy within my community and the homoerotic values that permeate all my creative endeavors. Upon contemplating personal values, I realized that the majority of my work is centered around serving an audience, providing them with explicit, sexual ideas. Considering how many young boys are treated and the predatory aspects of the gay community, I worked around the concept of the objectification of men, and an idea of "growing up too quickly." I am particularly inspired by a "stolen childhood" motif and have gathered significant research references, including interviews, imagery, and philosophical insights. Through research I guided my project through a hyper sexualized lens of youth. Enabling myself to explore complex themes more meaningfully, rather than simply an exposed male body as my subject, I have found a skill of pattern cutting and use of materiality to play a major role in my design process.
