I studied Fashion Design for my undergraduate degree, and later discovered my passion for photography by chance. After that, I founded my own studio in China, which I ran for five years. I am now based in London, working as a fashion photographer.

My showcase starts from my own experience of PMS. I look at how menstruation has long been treated with shame, and how PMS is often normalized or dismissed as “just hormones.” Through fashion photography, I try to capture this contradiction—pain and beauty, intimacy and distance—by turning personal discomfort into visual expression. My images use light, fabric, and styling to show how the female body is both fragile and powerful. This work is for everyone who has ever lived through menstruation, and for those who stand with them.

Final work

This project begins with my own experience of PMS. I question how menstruation is silenced with shame and how PMS is normalized or dismissed.
