Many rivers converge into a lake, and my heart is also nourished by countless blood vessels. If my body is a metaphor of nature, then is my life as eternal as a lake? This project is about the awakening process of self-awareness, inspired by nature and guided by Hegel's theory of thesis, antithesis, and synthesis as its narrative logic, exploring how nature shapes human self.

Final work

Silk-screen printed pink chiffon, heart-shaped skeleton digital-embroidered lace

Heart

The semi-transparent fabric woven from ribbons is combined with screen-printed mesh fabric and velvet using applique embroidery techniques.

Through the lake

Deep blue natural silk, silver metallic wire screen printing, computer embroidery combined with hand weaving.
The combination of different materials and techniques. Shiny fabric patchwork embroidery weaving and lace connected with beads.
