My practice is shaped by an exploration of how womenswear can redefine femininity through the lens of quirky elegance. I aim to investigate the extent to which serenity and the delicate moments of everyday life can be layered in a quirky way to express a new notion of femininity. I look to artists such as Helen Chadwick, a British sculptor, photographer, and installation artist. In my view, her work not only challenges stereotypical perceptions of women but also reclaims them with elegance and complexity. My artisanship is further enriched when it combines with explorative objects, such as an accessory designed to hold the drape of a dress. This element goes beyond merely complementing the garment; it becomes a desirable object in itself, offering multiple ways to wear and experience the design. I challenge traditional notions of elegance and feminine aesthetics by incorporating experimental elements, pushing the boundaries of how these identities can be expressed.
