My name is Shey I am 23 years old and a Psychology of Fashion graduate.

I’m particularly interested in the marketing aspects of fashion and how psychological principles can be used to enhance and innovate marketing strategies within the industry.

My approach to research is rooted in empathy, insight and intentionality's. For my dissertation, I explored the experiences of Black women in professional environments, specifically focusing on workplace grooming policies and how they shape Black hair identity. As a Black woman myself, this topic held personal resonance. I approached It with deep understandability, but also with a conscious effort to maintain objectivity and clarity, ensuring that any potential biases did not influence the integrity of the research.

This project reflects my passion for using research to drive more inclusive, human centred approaches within fashion, marketing and workplace culture.
