This research explored how black women in UK corporate workplaces experience and navigate hair grooming expectations. Through interviews with eight professionals, the study highlighted how Eurocentric standards of professionalisms shape identity, Influence self- perception and often lead to internalised pressure to conform. The findings shed light on the emotional and cultural impact of workplace grooming norms and call for more inclusive policies that respect and reflect Black hair expression.
