Summary

Final work

I'm a product designer with years of industry experience, now specializing in footwear design. My work merges form, function, and innovation to create products that are both visually striking and intuitive.

I believe great design balances aesthetics and clarity—it should engage while remaining effortlessly understandable. Problem-solving drives me, and I’m fascinated by design’s ability to shape experiences. Always exploring new ideas, I thrive on learning, experimenting, and refining my craft.

Course MA Footwear

Graduation year 2025

This project reimagines the boundaries of footwear design by exploring the interplay between sound, movement, and computational processes. Through the use of advanced tools like Grasshopper and Firefly, live audio was transformed into tangible, three-dimensional forms. These computational techniques allowed the creation of intricate surface textures and patterns that visually and tactilely embody the energy and rhythm of sound. The resulting designs capture a sense of motion and dynamism, translating auditory experiences into physical objects.

The collection goes beyond traditional functionality, merging practicality with aesthetic and sensory depth. Each piece reflects the potential of technology to elevate design, creating footwear that not only serves its purpose but also tells a story. By integrating sound into the creative process, this work challenges conventional approaches, offering a fresh perspective on how sensory elements can influence and enhance form. The project stands as a testament to innovation, pushing the boundaries of how design can merge art, technology, and human experience.

Final work

STACCATO

This shoe embodies sharp, rapid movements, much like the musical term "staccato." Its angular design and intricate sole patterns evoke a sense of quick, percussive energy. The pronounced curves suggest movement, capturing the essence of a high-frequency soundwave in a visually striking form.

LEGATO

Representing smooth and connected transitions, "Legato" features a rounded, fluid silhouette that mimics the continuous flow of sound. The shoe's design is harmonious and subtle, with a balanced pattern on the sole symbolizing a seamless rhythm, conveying a sense of grace and ease.

ECHO

"Echo" captures the reverberation of sound with its layered textures and subtle design elements. The shoe features a soft, repeating pattern that evokes the notion of sound bouncing back, creating a sense of movement and depth, while the simple sole allows the intricate upper to take center stage.

FORTE

"Forte" stands out with its bold and commanding presence. The shoe's dynamic design and detailed textures exude power and intensity, akin to the musical term for loud and forceful sound. The contours are sharp and expressive, emphasizing strength and a strong visual impact.
