# Project Description SWITCH Sharon Rodrigues Summary Final work Sharon Rodrigues is a graduate of the London College of Fashion and the founder of Switch , an award-winning social impact project that pioneers biodegradable menstrual cups made from biopolymers with an ergonomic design that helps relieve cramps. Switch is built to transform access to menstrual health in underserved communities in India, combining innovation with a Buy One Give One model that ensures education and empowerment go hand in hand. She has worked in fashion for five years, beginning her career as a stylist and talent development manager at The Times of India before moving into entrepreneurship. Alongside her social innovation work, Sharon is also the founder of Rosh , a plus-size womenswear brand created to empower women to embrace the best version of themselves through fashion. Today, her work reflects a powerful blend of design, purpose and impact, with a vision to give women dignity, confidence and the future they deserve. What sets Switch apart is its ergonomic surface design, created to not only fit naturally but also help relieve menstrual cramps, making the experience more comfortable and empowering for every woman. Switch is built on the belief that menstrual care should be affordable, accessible, and stigma-free. Its model combines product innovation with social impact, ensuring that every purchase contributes to giving a cup and training to a girl in an underserved community. By pairing access with education and peer-to-peer guidance, Switch goes beyond providing products to create real confidence and lasting change. At its core, Switch is more than a menstrual cup brand. It is a movement that challenges cultural silence, champions sustainability, and brings innovation to an area of women’s health too often overlooked. Its ergonomic curves and vertical ridges reduce fear of use, while the rounded loop ensures comfort and ease of removal. The design reflects Switch’s mission to make menstrual cups more approachable, functional, and empowering, combining innovation in form with a focus on trust and user confidence.
