This piece imagines the future of retail as an experiential platform where visitors can directly feel a brand’s mood and energy rather than simply viewing products. Drawing inspiration from the road trip, DJ, and racing culture that shapes streetwear, it uses headlights and a DJ setup to create a vivid atmosphere where movement, sound, and light blend together. Its flexible structure allows it to be assembled or taken down quickly, shifting according to the day’s music or mood, while its raw textures express the brand’s attitude and lifestyle. In a world filled with commercial imagery, where people gather around brands much like fandoms, this work proposes a new kind of furniture that fosters connection through live, moment-based experiences instead of product display.
Final work

Drift Console
The height and proportions of the furniture were designed to optimize the DJ’s use while enabling the creation of strong, impactful spatial moments.

Detail View
A separate LP storage unit sits beneath the pipe frame, allowing the DJ to store and easily swap records during a set.

Detail View
The tabletop is made from untreated, rusted metal, with the joints and cables intentionally exposed to highlight its raw construction.

Dim-lit View
The car headlights flicker as if a real vehicle is powering on, and together with the music, they shape the atmosphere and lighting of the entire space.
Research and process

Process View
The furniture is designed with the goal of activating events and community, and to support this purpose, it is constructed from scaffold pipe structures that allow easy movement and assembly. The entire piece can be fully assembled in about an hour.

Process View
To reflect the spirit of streetwear and its unembellished, authentic lifestyle, the structure was kept minimal, and both the materials and joints were left untreated and exposed. This approach allows the raw and honest attitude of streetwear to be conveyed directly through the materiality and details of the furniture.
