Sarah Dagnall

Profile picture of Sarah Dagnall

Sarah Dagnall is an artist and printmaker based in London.

Sarah’s work explores the human experience, drawing from her observations of people and highlighting the intricacies and mundanities of daily life. Using printmaking methods, she cements her perception of the world into line and gestural marks, which tiptoe between the real and the distorted. Poetry and automatic writing accompany her visual work, sometimes inconspicuously, unsure how much to step into the written medium.

Sarah’s work explores the human...

The feeling and awareness of being. Why might this enlightenment be claustrophobic instead of liberating? Zooming in too much, where our human-ness wears away. Chipping at it more and more, as if we are made of stone.
