In Lacanian theory, the Imaginary order is one of three fundamental realms of human experience, alongside the Symbolic and the Real. These are the main points of reference in regards to the individual and over ruling concepts for the shoots I produced. My themes of “unnatural femininity” is researched under the guise of Lacan’s concept of the ego referencing these three major structures of the human psyche. This body of work is a visual product of the personification of my lived 'unnatural, natural' experiences as a young woman.
