# Project Description Ageing in the sun. Rose Downs Summary Final work My name is Rose Downs and I am a graphic design pathway student, I focus on revealing narratives through people and capturing the stories told by faces. Within the foundation I focused on my love for photography, leading me to explore new methods of printmaking, which is visible through my work. My work is further enhanced by my intersect in fashion, allowing me to collaborate with the fashion communication pathway and blending my love of fashion with graphic design. College School of Pre-Degree Studies Course UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Graduation year 2025 This projects aim is to display the differences in age. I wanted to communicate the aspect of age by comparing two people in contrasted age groups. I photographed and then printed these images using cyanotype, also known as sun printing. Cyanotype is a process which creates prints when exposed to UV light, revealing the image when washed away. Final work Ageing in the sun - Riso printed I decided to compile a small book that displayed the cyanotype prints. I printed this using a riso printer to keep the faded look that the cyanotype has. Cyanotype prints A collage of age. I also created a collection of collages using image transfers. Each collage represents different age groups.
