Within the foundation I focused on my love for photography, leading me to explore new methods of printmaking, which is visible through my work. This projects aim is to display the differences in age. I wanted to communicate the aspect of age by comparing two people in contrasted age groups. I photographed and then printed these images using cyanotype, also known as sun printing. Cyanotype is a process which creates prints when exposed to UV light, revealing the image when washed away.

Ageing in the sun - Riso printed

I decided to compile a small book that displayed the cyanotype prints. I printed this using a riso printer to keep the faded look that the cyanotype has.

I also created a collection of collages using image transfers. Each collage represents different age groups. I was able to involve some of my own family photographs within this work, making it personal to myself.
