My work aims to explore my relationship to the process of “getting better” from chronic illness. How the healthcare system is supposed to uplift and support me. I’ve realised how dealing with constant criticism of uncontrollable aspects of my body has affected me both mentally and physically, and how paternalistic the healthcare system is. I’m left stuck in a loop of referrals, failed attempts of treatment, frustration from my doctors and more referrals.
