# Project Description

“Haptic Residue”

Rachael Reddington

Summary

Final work

I have found myself exploring the extent in which work can become interactive, visceral and ambiguous. Within my research I have become obsessed with the idea of dialect through a variety of forms, exploring sensory immersion, architectural/set forms as well as jewellery.

Will be progressing onto Sculpture and Environmental art at Glasgow School of Art.

“Haptic Residue” is a project that allowed me to explore the effect of touch, “caring for what's left over”. Within these works I have experimented with themes of non-visual dialects, tactile media interaction and processes of safekeeping, collection and protection. How long does a sense linger? Can it be controlled?
