Grandma’s home is like a colorful old world, filled with the spirit and soul of cherished objects. The sofa covers and table mats not only protected the furniture, but also guarded memories of the home. Though their bright colors have faded over time, they continue to carry a deep sense of warmth and happiness.
The project name is "warmth cover" The inspiration comes from the furniture cover of my grandmother's house. This project explores the relationship between memory, family bonds, and home textiles. The inspiration comes from my grandmother’s furniture covers and her knitted garments, documenting their faded patterns and signs of wear. Through knit design, I aim to reinterpret the patterns, faded traces found in home textiles, transforming them into a textile language that expresses the passage of time and the warmth of home.
This project highlights the therapeutic nature of memory. By incorporating soft materials, textures, and colors, I hope to evoke a sense of security and emotional resonance.
