I am a multidisciplinary practitioner working in the intersection of diverse foundational fields with design thinking as a tool to blur their boundaries. Having pursued my undergraduate in engineering from NIT Trichy, India and a postgraduate diplma from the Royal College of Art, I switch critically between an exploratory and a pragmatic inquiry to question the status quo and speculate the future of responsible innovation.

Energy futures Testament proposes an emergent system that transforms brewery waste into energy. London’s historic pub culture is hugely threatened by the current energy crisis, forcing several pubs and bars to shut down. Rising energy poverty engulfed in energy illiteracy has made chugging down a beer at your favourite spots a looming question. This exemplifies the repercussions of the cultural, socio-political, and environmental consequences of our ineffective current energy system design.

The energy crisis has motivated a rise in net-zero transitioning energy systems. The lack of public awareness and biased policy lobbying has impeded their scalability. Energy Futures Testament showcases the pragmatics and propositions of developing a novel energy system in the context of energy-resilient breweries to engage various stakeholders. Using a biotechnological approach of repurposing brewery waste, this transitioning technology invites conversation by promoting public awareness of more efficient and socio-centric energy systems.
