# Project Description Maestro Motion Paxton (Han-sheng) Wang Summary Final work I am Paxton Wang, a passionate MSc Computing student in the Creative Industries at UAL. As a developer, digital artist, and interactive designer, I focus on creating engaging experiences that blend technology with creativity. As a conductor, your gestures shape generative music and visuals, blending human expression with technology. Each participant creates a unique digital vinyl, preserving their composition. You can customize your vinyl label, making it a personal masterpiece. Every creation is showcased, contributing to a collective participatory artwork. This installation celebrates individuality and the power of generative art, where gestures meet algorithms to create something truly unique. This project brings together my love for music, creative coding, and vinyl in an engaging interactive experience. It enables participants, regardless of musical background, to create their own compositions using the metaphor of a conductor. By employing the ml5.js bodypose model, participants control sounds and visual elements through body movements, transforming the experience into a unique and personal journey of music creation. Visitor Experience and Engagement Participants step into the role of “conductor” and create their own vinyl record through body gestures. Every movement is captured and displayed in real-time on a projection, providing immediate visual and auditory feedback. Carefully designed guidance helps users confidently explore music creation with upper-body gestures. At the end of the experience, participants can personalise their vinyl label, add text, and print a QR code to keep or save their creation digitally. Impact and Contribution This work aims to lower the barriers to music-making, inviting everyone to explore the joy of creating sound. By combining human-computer interaction with music, it makes music production more accessible and engaging. The project highlights my ability to blend technology, art, and user experience, contributing to the fields of interactive art and participatory music creation while inspiring creativity in every participant.
