This immersive VR project explores the long shadow of war through the intimate lens of domestic life. The experience begins with the user moving into a quiet, empty house—starting a new chapter. Over a series of looping sequences, the same day repeats across three decades. With each loop, the house subtly evolves: new furniture appears, voices echo through the rooms, and signs of a growing family unfold—marriage, parenthood, and shared memories.

Alongside this personal growth, distant political tensions between two fictional nations begin to surface through ambient news reports and radio broadcasts. As the loops progress, these tensions escalate, eventually erupting into war—shattering the user’s once-peaceful home and leaving them in the aftermath of loss.

In the final loop, where everything seems destroyed, a small sprout grows where a fallen tree once stood in the backyard. This quiet symbol of renewal reinforces the project’s core message: while war leaves deep scars, the human spirit—like the tree—can still persevere and begin again.

The experience uses environmental storytelling, evolving space design, and narrative looping to invite players to reflect on themes of time, memory, loss, and resilience.
