My thesis strived to explore the importance of content and assumptions. Lillie Langtry used the male gaze and sexual economics in life, not typical traits of a feminist from a modern perspective. However, when the context of the time is explored, such as the limited opportunities for women at the time. Langtry was a feminist and used the limited resources given to women.
