The work Chaos Magick presents a ritual drawn from various disciplines and cultures. It involves casting a circle with blood infused stones, tarot cards and taxidermy scorpions, the 3D printed Kepler-Poinsot polyhedra, tesselated square AI images. The goal of the work is not to influence the universe in an intangible sense but to convey meaning taken from eclectic sources, inviting the viewer to experience interconnectedness of disciplines.

The goal of the work is to bring all five elements seen in Plato's philosophy (fire, water, earth, air, ether) together while experimenting with meaning in a ritual space. The 3D printed Kepler - Poinsot polyhedra (various shapes that belong to modern mathematics) sitting in the middle of the circle consists variations of dodecahedrons and an icosahedron, representing aether and water. The other elements are also fused in the background of the work as AI images: square tesselations in itself encompass the scorpions, the dragons, the snake among geometric tessellations of the hexagon, triangle and the square.

The scorpion in western astrology represent water; it is the sign of vast depth and mystical experiences. The dragon, in Chinese zodiac while representing earth, they are also seen as a controller of natural elements; water, rain and eventually the weather. The snake in Chinese zodiac represents among other symbolism, earth, metal, water and wood. In shamanism snake as a nagual also symbolizes learning, sexual energy and the power of transformation. It represents the natural flow of energy and the internal fire that begins in the spine, the Kundalini energy. In this case snake represents fire. In the geometric tesselations, triangle represents fire and water while the square is the element of earth according to Platonic solids. Although all entities in this work are connected to an element, the hexagon represents the balance of the universe.

This work aims to balance with the elements, many disciplines and belief systems together.

The circle cast around this work (mostly seen in witchcraft) is made from tarot cards and blood infused stones, taxidermy scorpions are also incorporated. Tarot cards are from the minor arcana: The Suit of Pentacles: Earth, The Suit of Swords: Air, The Suit of Wands: Fire, The Suit of Cups: Water.

The blood infused symbols cast around the circle are the symbols of these five elements. Blood being the ancient substance that encompasses all experience: the life force.

This work with its eclectic ritualistic nature brings mathematics, philosophy and mysticism together. Although resembling elemental magick seen in witchcraft, with its philosophy and chaotic but orderly way of arrangement, it conveys a more complex meaning for the viewer to observe, hence the name Chaos Magick. While the work takes the shape of a ritual, the viewer can find meaning in each piece they see. My aim with this work is to enchant the viewer with many interconnected philosophies and doctrines while enticing a playful engagement with the piece. So mote it be.
