Rationale – Innocence

In this collection, I explore the theme of innocence in a world shaped by overexposure, consumption, and digital saturation. As someone from the first generation to grow up online, I’m intrigued by how quickly we are forced to mature and how blurred the lines have become between real and fake. Inspired by childhood toys — bright, plastic, and simplified versions of the adult world — I reimagine them using “grown-up” materials like luxury fabrics and rigid structures to question the boundaries between youth and adulthood. The collection also reflects on self-obsession in the digital age, where visibility and identity are constantly under pressure. Through playful forms and nostalgic references, I aim to capture a sense of lost innocence while offering a more introspective lens on growing up.
