The placenta can be considered the first garment that a human being wears. Between our skin and the placenta, there exists a cushioning layer of amniotic fluid. If the placenta is likened to an oversized coat, then the amniotic fluid serves as an inner lining, providing protection for our skin. This fluid represents the first expression of maternal love we receive. Beyond safeguarding our skin, amniotic fluid also nurtures our creativity, talents, and identity. It preserves the innate sensibilities with which we are born, enabling their expression and protection—an essential function that contemporary fashion should embody. Upon birth, as we emerge from the maternal body, we are exposed to the harsh external world, much like facing the oppressive winds of societal expectations. In this process, our metaphorical amniotic fluid gradually dries and solidifies. Throughout the creation of this work, I have contemplated the role of contemporary fashion in relation to this concept. These shoes are designed to accompany you wherever you go, guiding you in the direction that best represents your true self.

The placenta can be seen as our first garment, with amniotic fluid as its inner lining—offering protection, warmth, and love. This fluid nurtures our creativity and identity, preserving our innate sensibilities. At birth, we lose this protective layer and face the harsh world, where societal pressures begin to shape us. In this project, I explored how contemporary fashion can reclaim that nurturing role. These biodegradable shoes are designed to support and guide you—serving not just as footwear, but as a reminder to stay connected to your true self and the gentle strength you were born with.
This shoe was used biodegradable casein plastic and natural rubber for making process. Then, I researched a lot of biodegradable for reconsidering fast fashion problems. We need to think about innovative resources to help sustainable fashion.
