Following a Foundation Year in Fine Art, I will progress on to BA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts. My work spans multiple disciplines: I aim to continue exploring not just physical sculpture but also photography, performance, and filmmaking. Currently, I am interested in the natural world, blending this with sculpture to create ephemeral pieces that integrate with the human body.

I am interested in exploring the interconnectedness between the natural world and the human form, using physical and material interactions with nature. I experimented with the ephemerality of sculpture, creating a blanket completely out of natural materials and documenting its decay. I aim to question our place in the ever-changing cycles of nature, creating a temporary piece that will be broken down back into the earth.

Final work

A large branch with a blanket made of leaves draped over it. Behind is a half wall made of sticks.
  • Lying in the forest with a leaf blanket, image one sat up, image two lying down.

Sewn leaf sheet with projected image on top: a girl lying amongst branches.
An imprint of a body in the earth.

Research and process

Three images, all close ups of the sewn leaf blanket. In each image the leaves are slightly more brown.
  • A series of images of a girl sitting up in the forest, leaving an imprint of herself and covering it with a blanket made of leaves.
