# Project Description Tethered Lucy Lee Summary Final work I am currently a student completing a foundation course in art and design. College School of Pre-Degree Studies Course UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Graduation year 2025 Rooted in interviews with immigrants and expats, this project reflects on cultural displacement and resilience. Inspired by traditional Filipino furniture, the multifunctional crafting stool is made of wood, with a leather seat and wooden dowels. It stores yarn and features a removable top, allowing users to shift easily between seated and floor-based crafting. Designed for crocheters and knitters, the stool is intentionally not comfortable for long periods-serving as a metaphor for adaptation and making do. By uniting storage and creation in one piece, it invites a reflection on the relationship between craft, identity, and place.
