Rooted in interviews with immigrants and expats, this project reflects on cultural displacement and resilience. Inspired by traditional Filipino furniture, the multifunctional crafting stool is made of wood, with a leather seat and wooden dowels. It stores yarn and features a removable top, allowing users to shift easily between seated and floor-based crafting. Designed for crocheters and knitters, the stool is intentionally not comfortable for long periods-serving as a metaphor for adaptation and making do. By uniting storage and creation in one piece, it invites a reflection on the relationship between craft, identity, and place.
