My love for films—especially monster and werewolf movies—has always inspired my creative work. My dream is to design and create monsters and creatures for the entertainment industry. Over the years, this passion has influenced my work, which often features slightly more sinister silhouettes and designs. For my final project, I wanted to bring this vision to life by not only showcasing my strong costume-making skills but also by learning new practices, such as mask making and special effects makeup.

For this project, I created two characters: a soldier and a werewolf. The soldier was inspired by the traumatic events that unfolded during the world wars, while the werewolf represented a demon-like embodiment of the horrors men saw and experienced during these dark times. My goal was to create something truly frightening that would make people question what kind of creature it was. I drew inspiration mainly from traditional werewolf films, but also from other mythical creatures like the Krampus.

I wrote a short story to give you a better understanding of where I was coming from:

An ordinary soldier begins to experience haunting visions of a werewolf-like demon in the form of a twisted, monstrous soldier. As the horrors of war consume him, these hallucinations grow increasingly vivid and terrifying. Each day becomes a descent into brutality, with the bloodshed and violence amplifying the grotesque nature of his visions. The enemy regime’s fanatical ideologies and ruthless beliefs begin to poison the minds of its soldiers, warping them with false promises of power and glory. In a harrowing moment of realization, the soldier discovers that the werewolf demon he fears is not an external force—it is himself. Slowly, he is becoming the very creature he dreads, embodying the monstrosity that mirrors the darkness of war.
