# Project Description Degradation, Circulation and Reproduction Lorcan Gould Summary Final work Lorcan Gould is a young multidisciplinary artist based between Suffolk and London. His practice is rooted in an iterative process of making, thinking, and researching—continually recontextualizing and archiving ideas through various forms. Working across zines, objects, prints, and more, his work spans a range of media and conceptual explorations. Currently, Lorcan is delving into experimental analogue techniques and investigating the intersection between digital and physical realms. His interests extend to moving image, as well as a deep engagement with zines and artist books as both creative and archival formats. Lorcan has exhibited widely across East Anglia and, most recently, in London at the Cluster Photography and Print Fair. College School of Pre-Degree Studies Course UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Graduation year 2025 An exploration of degradation, circulation, and reproduction, looking at the interplay of images between physical and digital forms. I focus on the poor image’s communal, fast-moving nature and its relationship to traditional methods of reproduction. How do images change, degrade, and transform as they circulate? This project embraces an ongoing, iterative process, always considering how an image’s meaning shifts and evolves as it’s reproduced and recontextualized across different contexts and mediums.
