# Project Description The Fear of Outsiders Lola Norris Summary Final work I'm a Fine Art student, specialising in painting. I completed my foundation in Fine Art at Ual, however I'm continuing my practice through a BA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths University. I mainly focus on pushing the boundaries of identity through monsters and creature designs, I hope to use my skills and focus to one day work in art direction and prop design for the movie and television industry and theatre. College School of Pre-Degree Studies Course UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Graduation year 2025 My project 'The Fear of Outsiders' focused on how society teaches children to fear difference through folklore and more recently media, such as movies and books, framing the outsider as monstrous and something to be feared. However these outsiders of society can find community with other 'monsters' and in turn find their place in society.
